Italian Bike Shopping.

Do you remember that some time ago I commented the fact that in Italy bikes' sales surpassed cars' sales? (click here for that post). Ok, it's fresh news that a new research on cycling in Italy revealed that the 35% of Italians choose the bike to do their ordinary shopping.
I mean, 35% is a lot especially if you consider that Italy is an aging country and that a good part of the territory isn't flat.
Too bad that the same research says that the 39% of the non-cycling population say that they would like to use a bicycle but they are don't feel safe because there isn't enough respect for cyclists and they are afraid of being run over by cars.
