Time change and daylight gain.

It's again that time of the year: almost every Western-European citizen tonight has to change his clock, from 02 A.M. to 03 A.M. Daylight Saving time, that's it.
Many people say that this is the best time of the year, as we gain a hour of light. I really can't understand this statement. We do not gain anything, it's just that our clocks have been moved. The hour of light that we apparently gain in the evening is the same hour of light that we loose in the morning. And I don't think that I am the only one to get up early enough to notice it.
In later spring it becomes less noticeable because there is actually a lot more light-time, but that depends on the season, not on our clocks. It would be the same also without time change.
Ok, another useless rant. Just remember to change your clocks tonight.
