The sinister shadow of gene doping.

These days there's a lot of talk about gene doping, referring to the astonishing performance of some athletes during the London Olympic Games.
I did a research to discover more on gene doping. I have to say that I find this whole thing very disturbing.

Now, for me this whole thing sounds like Frankenstein experiments.
And more, is it possible to detect gene modifications easily as pharmacological doping? Would a blood and urine test work?
