Yesterday during the Palio di Siena, the famous horserace that takes place two times a year in Tuscany, six out of 10 horses falled due to a massive incident. Just one horse reported injuries, but that has been just a lucky case. Collisions and injuries are very common during the Palio di Siena, and also in recent years many horses died during the race.
In my opinion you don't need to be a Vegan (like me) or an animal right activist to understand that this race needs to be banned immediately.
Have a look at this video from last year's race:
The Palio di Siena is a shame for Italy. It should be banned forever.
This blog is intended to be a little resource for the outdoors enthusiasts. Here you’ll find babbles about trekking, mountain biking, birdwatching, rafting, non conventional workout routines, gear reviews and so on. You’ll never find on this blog anything related to killing animals in any way and for any reasons. I know that for some people “outdoors” means killing too, but not for me. I think that the best way to live outdoors is to respect all the creatures, and I’m proud to be a Vegan.
