Wolfgang Gullich nowadays can be considered one of the fathers of modern climbing. Climbing started to be seen as a sport since the world discovered his asonoshing performance. Suddenly, the term "free climbing" started to be used in the sports news, as a synonymous of an extreme sport for trained and brave athletes.
